For high fidelity at the amplifier or played for recording purposes, the Fame AS 2000 features a Fishman Sonitone pickup with a control panel housed in the sound hole, while the comfortable padauk armrest and an extremely wide cutaway ensure comfortable handling even after long playing sessions.

Spruce & Santos rosewood
The combination of a solid spruce top and solid Santos rosewood back and sides creates an extremely balanced sound that knows how to play to its strengths in every frequency range. The spruce top, prized for its treble-rich sound, opens up the upper frequency range and produces high volume with direct projection. Santos rosewood – or also called caviúna or pau ferro – on the other hand delivers a tight and powerful bass range with a vocal mid-range. The body of the Fame AS 2000 is finished off with an all-round binding of abalone and padauk, which merges into a comfortable armrest.
Fishman Sonitone electronics
For the sound conversion of the Fame AS 2000 at the recording device or the amplifier a Fishman Sonitone pickup system is available. The pickup, known for its natural reproduction, is wonderfully suited for direct recordings in the studio or at home and impressively transmits the sound character of the AS 2000. The Sonitone is controlled via a control panel discreetly located in the sound hole, which consists of a volume control for regulating the volume and a tone control that continuously reduces the treble component in the signal
