This four string bass features a slightly arched body made of Black Limba with an intensive grain and a sixfold bolt-on neck made of mahogany and maple , whose flat “D” profile fits comfortably in the hand. Furthermore two active MEC Jazz single-coil pickups and an active 2-band EQ made by the same company provide a versatile sound spectrum that covers every genre with great assertiveness. Accordingly, the body made of light Black Limba supports a powerful sound, while the soft arching guarantees a comfortable contact with the player. The five-piece neck made of mahogany with maple veneers is screwed sixfold for a very stable connection and offers best handling over all 24 frets of the Pau Ferro fretboard with its slim “D” profile.
Fame Baphomet II with indestructible hardware
Last but not least, the Fame Baphomet II 4 comes equipped with indestructible hardware that guarantees long-lasting playing pleasure with unlimited functionality. The solid WSC SI4 bass bridge on the body supports the even sound development. Four individual string saddles ensure optimal adjustment of intonation and string position. Furthermore four encapsulated WSC JB15 tuners on the headstock make for accurate and stable tuning of the four strings.
MEC pickups and electronics
The electrical sound conversion of the Fame Baphomet II 4 is handled by two active MEC Jazz single coils . Equipped with ceramic magnets , these pickups impress with a particularly transparent sound image, combining high assertiveness with the ability to perform almost any kind of music. In addition to the volume and balance controls , the Fame Baphomet II 4 also features an active MEC BEC2 2-band EQ . With treble and bass controls on a double pot , the equalizer allows for precise sound adjustment, whereby the musical tuning guarantees first-class sound experiences even at extreme settings.
